We help ensure you receive everything you qualify for, including federal and provincial benefits that can significantly impact your financial stability.

Income Assistance

We have ministry workers here on Wednesday afternoons to assist those without access to a computer or who need extra assistance in the application process.

Disability Status

If you need help filling out the application for disability status, or appealing a denied application.

We will also go over the benefits you are entitled to once your application is approved.

Canadian Pension Plan

For assistance with the multiple forms that are required. 

Once a PWD is approved; clients with a work history will be required to apply for CPP-D. We can help with that too.

Medical & Personal Referrals

For help connecting with community supports for mental health, addiction and traumatic brain injury

Moving forward with a disability

Coming to terms with a disability is difficult. Furthermore, filling out forms can seem overwhelming.

Our Disability Advocates are able to assess and provide support for those applying for disability benefits.

We listen to their needs and connect them with the agencies and supports in the community that are able to provide help.

Cynthia’s story
When Cynthia first came to the Access Centre looking for help with her PWD application, she was navigating many challenges and wasn’t sure where to start. We were able to provide clarity on the process, and she left knowing what steps were needed.
When she returned six months later, it was clear how much progress she had made personally. She was calmer, more confident, and ready to take the next steps. With support from the Access Centre, Cynthia connected with a doctor who could help complete the medical part of her application, and together we began moving her application forward.

Cynthia’s journey shows how the right support at the right time can make a real difference. Today, she is navigating the process with focus and determination.
